kompose joins the Kubernetes incubator

Today we are pleased to announce that kompose has officially joined the Kubernetes Incubator. The software is now available on the incubator site. Update your forks !

Following the Kubernetes community incubation process, kompose was accepted in the incubator. This will be a great opportunity to grow the user base and the community of contributors.

Started here at Skippbox, kompose has received the support of Google and Red-Hat over the summer. It now supports converting Docker compose files as well as experimental Docker bundles to default Kubernetes resources as well as Openshift configurations.

In addition, kompose is already being packaged as rpm and is available on the EPEL testing repo. Give it a quick try on CentOS 7.1:

# yum instal -y epel-release
# yum update
# yum install -y kompose --enablerepo=epel-testing
# kompose --version
kompose version 0.1.0 (8227684)

Expect more features soon, as the community grows and we provide an easy transition from Docker Compose to Kubernetes.
